Did you know that stress compromises immune systems? ISW is here for you every step of the way. We realize this is a challenging time for each us as the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) spread impacts our daily lives, our work, and constant awareness.

Scientific research proves that self-care practices lowers stress, anxiety, and depression. Proper self-care gives your body time to rest and recuperate and gives your immune system the opportunity to shift into a higher gear, strengthening your body’s immune response. In the spirit of community health, here are a few tips to help you stay healthy, happy, and well-balanced during these stressful times.

Here are 10 simple ways to dissolve anxiety and stress as we all deal with COVID-19.

* Breathwork (breath meditation or breath meditation)

* Crystal meditation

* Crystal gazing

* Crystal body layout

* Journaling

* Meditation

* Sound bath

* Guided-imagery

* Self-hypnosis

* Reiki

The important thing right now is to hold tight to our values, show love to our people, to ride this thing out together #andbreathe. Our thoughts go out to you, your friends and family, as well as your larger community and this movement, in these times. While the situation we are currently facing with COVID-19 encourages social distancing physically, we encourage you to reach out to your loved ones by phone, online video, and to spend the time you are alone nurturing your creativity, vision, and self-care.

Luckily for all of us at The SFC, we are practiced at the things we are being asked of today, where a sound mindset and a commitment to shared and sustainable joy is the only clear way through. As always, I am committed to excellence in health and well-being. We have always taken an integrated approach to serve our clients and in the midst of the COVID-19 epidemic, we will continue taking appointments via video calls, text or chat.

As we become aware of new information about coronavirus, we will be sure to let you know. You can also find the latest updates at CDC.gov. In the meanwhile, here’s a quick, 5-minute sample breath exercise for you to try:

Close your eyes gently and take this moment and breathe deeply. A deep breath will help you to process all of the things you are feeling. Now take another deep breath and bring in pure, clean energy. Hold your next breath for as long as you can. As you exhale, imagine that all the stuck energy in your body is being melted away like snowflakes in the full light of the midday sun. Allow your natural breathing rhythm to take over while bringing your attention to listening for any specific spaces in your body that want to feel absolutely loving energy. Continue breathing normally as you feel your energy circulate within your entire body.

Blessed Breath,

Innocence Smith
